This conference invites papers that foreground the body as the subject of enquiry, and raise questions of (dis)embodiment, corporeality and of human agency. In doing so we would also like to raise the possibility of revisiting certain categories of historical analysis like the state, nation, religion, region and so on through the narrative of the human body.
