Garbage Burning: 20, 000 affected by smoke, stench from burning garbage

Smoke and stench from piles of burning garbage have affected over 20,000 people in Chikhli, Pimpri Chinchwad city.

Vikas Sane, social worker and president of Chikhli Moshi Housing Society Federation, said, "Garbage is dumped by trucks at night along the river and set ablaze. Heavy smoke emanates from this, affecting residential areas in a 1-2km radius.
